The recovery phrase is the password to your blockchain account. If you need to recover your wallet, you can enter the recovery phrase to gain access to your account. We recommend you to write the recovery phrase on a paper and keep several copies of it in different secret places.

Set one or more Bitalo wallet users from your contacts as guards who will store your encrypted private key. If you need to recover your wallet, you can meet with one of your guards physically or in a video call and scan a QR code from their phone. Your guard will not have access to your Bitalo wallet account and can only help you with the recovery process.
